Collapsible blocks

Collapsible blocks are sections of content that can be expanded and collapsed, letting you hide detail until it's needed. When a note is opened, all collapsible blocks start collapsed by default.

A collapsible block consists of:

  • An always-visible header, containing:
    • An arrow that expands or collapses the block when clicked.
    • A summary line that acts as the block's title. With the cursor in the summary line, press Ctrl+Enter to expand or collapse the block.
    • A drag handle for repositioning the block within the note.
  • The body, which is hidden while the block is collapsed. It can hold any kind of content, including nested collapsible blocks.

You can use the arrow keys to move freely with the cursor between the summary line, the block's body, and the text around the block.
